The Book Of  Daniel Chapter 1:

Chapter 1 begins with the book introducing us to Daniel and his friends, Hanania, Azariah, and Mishael. They were all selected to serve King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon. Despite being offered the King’s food and wine, Daniel and all his friends choose to eat only vegetables and drink water.

Like that, ten days passed but soon they appeared to be healthier than the king’s people who had been eating the king’s food. God Gave these four men Knowledge and understanding, Daniel could then understand visions and dreams.

King Nebuchadnezzar had a dream, he called all his wise men to interpret it but none of them could. It was then that Daniel came into the picture, he could interpret the dream by god revelation. The dream was about a large statue made with various materials, it was a sign of four kingdoms and their representation.

That wasn’t the end, The dream ended with Stone destroying the large statue and becoming a mountain, symbolizing God’s eternal Kingdom.

This chapter begins by telling about a large golden statue that King Nebuchadnezzar built. Very soon, everyone was commanded to worship this statue, but Daniel and his friends, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego refused the command.

As a result of disobeying the king’s command, they were then thrown into a fiery furnace, but god protected them and they emerged unharmed.

In this Chapter King Nebuchadnezzar had another dream, Daniel interpreted it as a warning from God about the King’s pride. In the end, the dream came true when Nebuchadnezzar was driven away from people and had to live among the wild animals until he acknowledged God’s sovereignty.

This chapter narrates the story of King Belshazzar. He saw a handwriting on the wall during a feast, Daniel then interpreted the writing as a message from God, predicting the fall of Belshazzar’s Kingdom, as it happened, The Kingdom of Belshazzar fell that same night.

Daniel in this chapter was serving under King Darius,  he was thrown into a lions’ den for praying to God, because there was a new law that Darius was tricked into signing. The Book Of  Daniel Chapter 7:

Daniel sees a vision of four beasts coming out from the sea, each representing a different kingdom. The Fourth has iron teeth and ten horns, making it terrifyingly powerful looking and different from the others, it trampled over all its victims and anyone around it.

Then the Vision shifts to a heavenly court with the ancient of days, or God, presiding. Now the court was passing judgment on the fourth beast destroying it but allowing the other beasts to live for a time.

Then the Son of man approaches and is given dominion, glory, and an everlasting Kingdom never to pass away.

The Book Of  Daniel Chapter 8:

This Chapter has a vision of a Ram and a goat, The ram has Two differently-sized horns. it represented Kings of Media and Persia. The goat represented the king of Greece, the goat then attacked the ram and broke its horns.

The Goat becomes powerful, but at the time that its power reaches the greatest height, its large horn breaks off and is replaced with four prominent horns. Out of these four horns, One comes as a small Horn. It grows in power and defies God.

The Book Of  Daniel Chapter 9:

Daniel is seen here praying for his people and confessing their sins. Angel Gabriel appears while he is praying and gives him a prophecy of ‘seventy-sevens’.

It is 490 years, of the future of Jerusalem and the coming of Messiah.

Daniel has a vision of a man while mourning for three weeks, It is an angel in the appearance of a man. The angel then tells Daniel that he was delayed because of the prince of Persia and will be returning to fight against him.

Daniel also is told by the angel that he will tell him what will happen to his people in the future.

The Book Of  Daniel Chapter 11:

In this chapter, the Angel gives Daniel a detailed prophecy of the wars and conflicts between the kings of North and South. It is believed that the prophecy represented the Seleucid and Ptolemaic Kingdoms.

The Chapter ends with a prophecy of a King who exalts and magnifies himself. this is believed to be a reference to Antiochus Epiphanes.

This chapter holds the prophecy of the end times. There will be a time of distress, and Michael, the great prince will arise. But the names of those written in the book will be delivered.

The Dead will rise, Some will go to everlasting life and some to shame and contempt. Daniel is then told to seal up the words of the prophecy until the time of the end.

These were the last six chapters of the Book of Daniel, depicting the apocalypses, of the end times, the future of the earthly kingdoms, and the eternal Kingdom of God.

They foretell the persecution of the Jews by Antiochus Epiphanes, the Seleucid king of Syria, including the end of his reign. The visions end here with the resurrection of the dead and the final judgment.
